The very exclusive and discreet Marchand Frères estate, located in Morey-Saint-Denis, produces only 750 bottles per year of this Grand Cru.
The Griotte-Chambertin appellation is the most exclusive of the "Chambertin" with only 2.64 Ha or less than 14,000 bottles produced per year for the entire appellation!

It must be said that with an average age of the vines of 40 years and a yield of 35 Hl per hectare, it is not easy to satisfy all the demand.
The vinification and aging are classic with the exception of a very light filtration on land before bottling.
The wine is concentrated and powerful with aromas of black fruits, spices and toasted wood.
The 2012 vintage in Burgundy: from difficulty born satisfaction
A wet and rainy spring, late frosts, hail in August, powdery mildew, sunburn... 2012 had many problems but still managed to produce fantastic wines. The best vintages and producers produced great wines for laying down.
