Production of 45,000 bottles per year. Vines aged 35 years on average, approximately 80% Merlot - 20% Cabernet Sauvignon
This castle belonged to the Constant family, owners of Clinet, before being bought by the Moueix family in 1950.
The estate took off in 1994 after the acquisition of 4 hectares of vines that belonged to Chateau Le Gay. It is the neighbor of the Petrus and Lafleur estates. The Moueix family owns, among others, Trotanoy, Lagrange, Latour, and Dominus in Napa Valley.
WUAT's opinion: This beautifully preserved bottle will provide a wonderful experience for Pomerol lovers. We recommend serving this wine directly into large glasses and letting it breathe for a good half hour before tasting.
