The Great Lady 2006 - Champagne Veuve Clicquot

Launched in 1972 for the bicentenary of the Veuve Clicquot House, this cuvée pays homage to Madame Clicquot, nicknamed "The Great Lady of Champagne". It constitutes the ultimate expression of Pinot Noir through the VCP style.

Assembly :

• 53% Pinot Noir: Grands Crus of Aÿ for the Grande Vallée de la Marne, Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay and Bouzy for the Montagne de Reims
• 47% Chardonnay: Grand Cru of Mesnil-Sur-Oger, Avize, Oger on the Côte des Blancs

Dosage: 8g/L

Tasting notes:

• Color: Luminous with golden highlights, very fine and shimmering bubbles
• Nose: Mineral and floral, fresh fruits, toasted notes
• Palate: Lots of flesh and substance. Crisp and silky texture.
• Long finish that coats the palate.
