The Millière 1995 - Châteauneuf-Du-Pape

The La Millières estate in Châteauneuf-Du-Pâpe currently has 27 hectares of vines.

Owned by the Arnaud family (this time it is not LVMH in question) and operated since 1983 by the fifth generation, this estate mainly focused on export markets, with Great Britain and the United States in the lead. This is why it is little known in France and Switzerland.

The vinification and blending of this 1995 vintage are classic. A dominance of Grenache for about 60% of the blend and a few other usual grape varieties 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and 20% Cinsault and Counoise.

1995 is an excellent vintage for Southern Rhone Valley reds. This bottle should be close to its peak. An excellent price-pleasure ratio.
