About the 2008 vintage : A very classic vintage, particularly suited to great wines for laying down. And it just so happens that this is a Lafite, possibly the greatest red for laying down from the Medoc. After a very dry June followed by a rainy summer until mid-September, the 2008 vintage was not particularly set to work miracles. But the superb weather from mid-September until the end of the harvest allowed the best Châteaux to produce balanced wines for laying down in a very straightforward and classic style.

Tasting advice: Lafites almost always need to be opened at least 12 hours before tasting. This vintage is no exception. You can also decant it at least 4 hours before tasting.
