"Les Vignes de Mon Père" 2003:

The 2003 "Les Vignes de Mon Père" vintage by Jean-François Ganevat is a true icon of the Jura, embodying both the tradition and excellence of this unique terroir. Made from the emblematic Savagnin grape variety, this vintage is a masterpiece of patience, aged under veil for more than ten years. The 2003 vintage, marked by a historic heatwave, gives the wine a unique power and concentration, while preserving the acidity and tension typical of great voile wines. With an exceptional aromatic complexity, this wine reveals notes of dried fruits, nuts, curry and a captivating saline minerality.

Presentation of the Jean-François Ganevat estate:

Based in the small village of La Combe, in the heart of the Jura, Jean-François Ganevat is a key figure in natural viticulture. Heir to family know-how dating back to the 17th century, he enhances the Jura terroirs with ancestral methods and absolute respect for nature. His wines, produced biodynamically, are sought after around the world for their purity and unique expression of the terroir. The "Les Vignes de Mon Père" vintage is a tribute to his father, a rare wine that reflects the soul and history of this emblematic estate.

The 2003 vintage in the Jura:

2003 is an atypical year due to the exceptional heat that marked the summer. This heatwave allowed a rare maturity of the grapes, giving rich, powerful and structured wines, while retaining a beautiful freshness for the late grape varieties like Savagnin. The veil wines of 2003, like "Les Vignes de Mon Père", are particularly remarkable for their aromatic intensity and their length.
