Château L'Evangile belongs to the Rothschild Estates which also owns Châteaux Duhart-Milon, Rieussec and Lafite.

The 2011 vintage was marked by a fairly dry winter and early spring. The warm temperatures of spring allowed the vines to grow quickly and the first flowers were present at the beginning of May, almost unheard of! After a hot summer, the harvest began a good two weeks early, the grapes were of very high quality with sublime tannins.
The Merlots were rich and dense, but the little rain reduced the quantities during the harvest. The Cabernet berries, for their part, were small, with thick skins, but very qualitative.
