Château Lynch Bages 1990 - 5th grand cru classé of Pauillac (Only and it's a scandal!)

At WUAT Christophe has always had a great love for Lynch Bages. It is indeed with this wine that the passion was born. We do not joke with Lynch!

Lynch has always embodied Pauillac in its purest style. Powerful and very difficult to taste in its young years, it becomes magnificent and unique with age.

1990 is clearly one of Lynch-Bages' greatest successes. Here are the Château's comments on it:

July and August were near record months for the region. It was the driest in nearly thirty years, and August was the hottest since records began in 1928. In Lynch-Bages, we harvested a bountiful crop of ripe, healthy grapes on September 24.

Today the wine has a lovely nose of fat cedar with good structure, filling the palate with intense, juicy ripe plums, cassis and spices. Lynch Bages 1990 combines power and elegance and retains potential for ageing and development.
