Meursault 1997 "The Shovels" - Philippe Delagrange
Meursault
Low stock: 1 left
Before being called Domaine Philippe Delagrange and then, today, Domaine Bernard Delagrange et Fils, the estate was called "Domaine Lobot de la Barre".
This magnificent estate has a 15th century ensemble, cellar and restaurant that is a must-see. The vaulted stone cellars have the particularity of being built on two levels. Only 13 Burgundy cellars offer this architecture.
The Delagrange family has been working the vineyard in Volnay since 1792, and decided to settle in the Meursault estate in 1972. Today, the estate has 23 hectares of vines on the most beautiful terroirs of the Côte de Beaune.
The estate's wines, with their very classic style, but not too rich, have won numerous awards from the Hachette wine guide.
