Meursault-Charmes 1998 1er cru - Domaine Jean Latour-Labille
Meursault-Charmes 1998 1er cru - Domaine Jean Latour-Labille
Meursault
Low stock: 2 left
The Latour estate has existed in Meursault since 1792. It kept the name Latour-Labille until 2011 when it became the Vincent Latour estate.
The wines of the estate are aged for 12 months in 600-litre demi-muids, a small proportion of which are new barrels. The aim is not to mask the aromas of the wine.
This 1er cru "Charmes" vintage comes from a plot of only 0.33 ha with clay-limestone soil typical of Meursault. Fermentation in oak barrels, 10% of which are new, and aging for 12 months. Then 4 to 6 months in vats.
The wines from this estate age particularly well, we have tasted a few bottles, no trace of oxidation. You can taste this bottle today or wait another twenty years for it.
