Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Aux Boudots" 2010 - Pierre André - Château de Corton André
Since 1923, Pierre André, based at the Château de Corton-André in Aloxe-Corton, has been renowned throughout the world for his prestigious Burgundy estate located in the heart of the most illustrious vintages of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune.
Today, Château de Corton-André is the symbol of tradition in Burgundy. It is the only Château in the Côte de Beaune located in the Grands Crus appellations.
Pierre André fell under the spell of Château Corton (also called Château Jaune for its glazed tiles), which he acquired in 1923. Since 2002 the estate has changed hands, passing in 2002 between those of the Ballande group before being acquired in 2015 by the Frey group (Billecart-Salmon, La Lagune, Jaboulet-Aîné).
The 2010 vintage is an absolute success throughout Burgundy. The particularly low yields, the great aromatic concentration of the berries and the perfect sugar/acidity balance have produced great wines for laying down.
The Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation is one of the narrowest and most stretched in Burgundy. The 1er cru "Aux Boudots" is located on the border of the Vosne-Romanée appellation.
