Presentation of the domain:
Located in Pauillac, Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande covers 85 hectares. It is classified as a second grand cru 1855.
11 ha are located in the commune of Saint-Julien, giving it exceptional aromatic characteristics for a Pauillac. The vines are 35 years old on average. Since 2007, it is the Champagne house Louis Roederer that has owned it.
Current grape variety distribution: 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, 8% Petit Verdot.
Robert Parker Tasting Notes:
At full maturity, this 1985 Pichon Comtesse has some pink on the edges, a sweet nose of herby-tinged cherries and cassis mixed with dusty notes and new oak. The wine is medium-bodied, elegant, very flattering and perfumed." (January 2003)

Exceptional provenance in CBO: These bottles come from a cellar of a great Swiss wine enthusiast and collector. We have acquired the complete collection containing more than 200 bottles of mainly French and Italian wines. The bottles have all been preserved following their purchase en primeur or shortly after their marketing on site, in a natural cellar buried under a 16th century convent. A damp cellar, which is why some labels are very worn. The levels are generally excellent or perfect and the most "fragile" bottles testify to conservation in total darkness for more than 30 years!
