Champagne Salon Cuvee "S" 1996 Le Mesnil Blanc de Blancs Brut

Salon Champagnes are among the most exclusive with Krug Champagnes. Located in Mesnil, the House was created in 1905 by Eugène-Aimé Salon. For once, it is not difficult to find your way around the vintages. Salon produces only one Cuvée, the "S", from the sole Chardonnay grand cru grape variety, coming only from Mesnil-sur-Oger, always vintage and only during the very great vintages. All these reasons make it an exceptional and unique Champagne.

Tasting notes Salon 1996 : A pale yellow wine with green highlights. The bubbles are fine and active. Bouquet with aromas of green apples, first, then the freshest citrus fruits, lemon, grapefruit, with a softness of pear, kiwi. Complex and fresh mouth, minerality at its peak.

Tasting advice : A champagne to be enjoyed “barely chilled” between 13° and 15° to appreciate its full power.
