This vintage Champagne, from an exceptional harvest year, was composed and aged from musts from the premier crus of the Clicquot vineyards.

Having matured slowly in Gallo-Roman chalk pits in Reims, it has the personal style of the house and the inimitable taste of perfection. The predominantly floral aromas, all in finesse, of Chardonnay blend with the fruity and persistent structure of Pinot Noir. Honor this bottle by keeping it in the dark, at a cool and constant temperature. Chill it before uncorking.

We tasted the three great vintages: 1988, 1989 and 1990. All three are very different and of great quality. These bottles are among those that we remember for a long time. We remember when we drank it and with whom. In short, you taste a moment, not a champagne.

We also strongly recommend that lovers of champagnes and old vintages taste the vintage cuvées of many major houses (Mumm, Moet, Besserat, De Venoge etc.) before high demand makes them unaffordable.

These old bottles, if aged in good conditions, reveal charms that are very different and much more attractive than the recently disgorged vintages. But this is only our humble opinion.
