Every year, during the legendary Hospices de Beaune auction , exceptional vintages, such as that of General Muteau, are offered. This event, a real celebration for wine lovers and professionals, finances charitable works and the preservation of hospital heritage.

Volnay 1er Cru Cuvée of General Muteau

It pays tribute to the general who contributed to the Hospices de Beaune hospital at the beginning of the 20th century.

Located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, Volnay is an appellation renowned for its delicate and refined red wines. On the Premier Cru terroirs, the limestone soils produce wines of a singular elegance, often described as "feminine". The aromas of red fruits, sweet spices and undergrowth combine with a silky tannic structure and a beautiful length in the mouth.

The 2009 vintage shines with its balance and liveliness, with captivating aromas of morello cherries, remarkable freshness and a delicately tannic structure.
