Pierre Ponnelle is a trading house established in Beaune since 1875. Today, it offers more than 40 appellations. All the white, red or sparkling wines are produced exclusively from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay for the Beaujolais crus.

About the 1973 vintage:

Although the vintage had started off rather well with a hot and dry start to the summer heralding a great year, the significant rains that occurred before the harvest produced diluted wines.

It will therefore not be the vintage of the century, although some producers have managed to produce some lovely wines.

Tasting tips:

This bottle of Vosne-Romanée will probably be interesting as a gift for a birthday or a special event. We advise you to enjoy it alone or with fresh cheese or a mild starter. There is no need to decant this wine before serving.
