Vosne-Romanée 1996 - Jean Grivot

Domaine Jean Grivot has existed in Burgundy, in Vosne-Romanée, since the end of the 18th century. It has the greatest terroirs at its disposal, Clos de Vougeot, Richebourg and others.

Joseph Grivot originally owned vineyards in the Jura, before deciding to sell them and move to Burgundy. In 1919, he even bought a plot of the famous grand cru Clos Vougeot. Twelve premiers crus and three grands crus are in the range of wines produced by the Grivot estate.

Today the estate is managed by Etienne, the son of Jean (himself the son of Joseph), and his children.

The average age of the vines is over 40 years and the yield is quite low.
