WUAT's opinion: The sweet Vouvrays are, in our opinion, particularly underrated given their quality. We have never been disappointed by these magnificent Chenin Blancs.

But we understand that these are wines that we don't really know when to taste and with what accompaniment.

Old Vouvrays evolve towards notes of beeswax, honey, sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), apple compote and tarte tatin, while retaining a frank acidity.

These wines are particularly suited to sweet/savory meals, sushi, oily fish. Try to taste this type of wine with a salmon gravlax, a pure marvel. Just try to avoid dishes with sauces that are too rich or too fatty, which risk making the pairing a little heavy.
