A mixed 2004 vintage, but rather good overall.
The yields are high for this vintage in the Médoc, Saint-Julien is clearly in the lead. In Graves, the reds are harmonious, the whites are fresh and fruity, especially the sauvignon.
In the Libournais, the Pomerols are fleshy and fruity although they have suffered from drought, the St-Emilion aromatic and balanced.
In Sauternes, this is not the vintage of the century, the wines are light and not suitable for long aging.
In Burgundy, Vosne, Gevrey and Chambolle stand out, the wines are balanced. The Whites are bold and fresh.
In Champagne, there is good potential on Chardonnays and Meuniers.
Beautiful Cornas in the Rhône Valley, the wines are elegant and delicious. The whites are a little less spoiled than the reds because of the large yields. The Châteauneufs and Gigondas are excellent!
