The 2008 vintage is rather a good vintage but quite heterogeneous.
Very good successes in Saint-Julien and Pauillac, on the whole the Merlots are more ripe than the Cabernets.
In the Graves, the vintage is classic with freshness, the whites are expressive.
The Pomerols and Saint-Emilion are successful, the Merlots are ripe.
In Burgundy, warm soils should be favored for the reds. On the whites, the wines are elegant, special mention for Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet.
In Champagne, the yields are low but the Pinots Noirs are superb.
In the Côtes du Rhones, the Condrieux, Côte-Rôties and Cornas are delicious, the whites are mineral.
