Cantenac-Brown 2008 - Margaux
Château Cantenac-Brown was founded more than 200 years ago by a Scot, John-Lewis Brown.
Its taste for excellence allows it to position itself among the greatest vintages: 3rd grand cru classé 1855
The property's crest bears witness to its Scottish ancestry, as does its superb Tudor-style castle.
2008 was a fairly cool and rainy year at the start of the season. But the very beautiful Indian summer and the perfect sanitary conditions from mid-September made it possible to harvest ripe grapes with good acidity. The 2008s offer a very classic style with great aging potential.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Beautiful dark and very dense colour.
Nose: Blackberry and black cherry dominate followed by notes of roasted coffee and smoke.
Mouth: Harmonious, coated and silky. The firm tannins give it great aging potential.
