Château Giscours 1981 - Margaux Grand cru Classé in 1855
It is the first wine of Château Giscours.
It combines delicacy and finesse to offer you the elegance of a great Margaux. Very consistent, the Château Giscours has a gravelly soil and offers wines generally slightly richer and more powerful than many other properties of Margaux.
Blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc
Tasting Notes: Plum and stony fruits, fresh tobacco and a nice scent of Margaux. Medium concentration, classic and harmonious style. This 79 aged very well and is surprisingly young. A great 79 for a blind tasting or a Birthday present to a wine lover.
This bottle will require a prior opening period of at least 30 minutes, if possible in a decanter.
