1999
1999 is a very good vintage in Bordeaux, especially in the Médoc where Margaux and Saint-Julien are very successful.
The reds in the Graves are also spoiled, the whites a little less.
In the Libournais, very good successes also with ripe grapes, we approach the wine for aging.
Very good first harvest in Sauternes, the second was unfortunately affected by the rain.
The Côtes de Nuits and Beaune are quite simply superb between Nuits and Volnay for the premiers and grands crus.
In Burgundy whites, rich wines, mature grapes and very great Meursaults.
Lots of yields in Sauternes but the pretty estates ensure some fine vintages.
The Côte-Rôties are simply terrible! It is a very beautiful vintage in this corner of the Rhône Valley. Grenaches were also favored this year.
