2006

The 2006 vintage is heterogeneous.

In Bordeaux, the Saint-Julien are well structured and the Cabernet Sauvignon successful.

The red Pessac-Léognan are superb, the aromatic and balanced whites.

Very great wines on Pomerols, the Merlots are ripe and well balanced.

In Sauternes, the wines are balanced and aromatic with freshness.

In Burgundy, the wines are fleshy. Chambertin, Bonnes-Mares and Chambolle-Musigny are superb.

In the whites, great successes at Meursault, Saint-Aubin and Corton-Charlemagne.

In Champagne, it is the Pinots Noirs that stand out and the terroirs of Aÿ, Verzy, Avize and Oger.

Beaux Hermitages and Côte-Rôties in the Rhône Valley as well as in Chateauneuf and Gigondas, the Syrahs are superb even if some wines will be a little light.
