Cuvée de mon Aïeul 2006 - Pierre Usseglio - Châteauneuf-Du-Pape

The Usseglio estate has existed since 1948. Created by a farm worker from Italy, the Usseglio estate is now run by his grandchildren. Covering a total of 39 Ha of vines including 24 in the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation, the estate produces traditional Châteauneuf wines. The vines are 40 to over 65 years old.

This cuvée produced exclusively from Grenache pays homage to the creator of the estate. The 75 to 90-year-old vines that make up the blend are located in La Crau, Les Bédines and Les Serres.

100% vinification in concrete vats for maximum fruit concentration.

The “Cuvée de mon Aïeul” is a pure and concentrated wine. The nose is very complex with notes of raspberries, liquorice and spices. It is a powerful wine of great elegance.
