Grand Veneur "Vieilles Vignes" 2011 - Alain Jaume & Fils - Châteauneuf-Du-Pape
Level: Perfect
Color: Perfect
Label: Perfect
Overall condition: Perfect
The Grand Veneur estate has only existed under this name since 1979. It had until then been operated under the name of the Jaume family, wine growers since 1826 in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and still owner of the estate to this day.
The wines of the Grand Veneur estate have seen their demand explode since 2010. The excellent marks received from a certain American critic and several marks of 100 points are not for nothing.
Aging for 16 months of which 60% in new oak barrels and one year and 40% in concrete vats. This very great wine for laying down with an almost black hue offers empyreumatic aromas, spices and dry herbs. A great Châteauneuf that you will have to taste quickly before it becomes inaccessible.
Like many Châteauneuf-du-Pape, you can keep it for around thirty years without fear.
