Dom Pérignon champagne is an exclusively vintage champagne, that is to say that it is produced only in exceptional years from bunches harvested in the same year.
Since 1921, only 42 vintages have been produced. The rosé cuvée has only been produced since 1959, with 23 vintages.
The 1982 vintage is one of Dom Pérignon's greatest successes, which is why it is highly sought after by amateurs and collectors. This bottle comes from a Champagne cellar from where it has never moved since its acquisition.
The 2006 vintage was on the whole warm and dry. Dom Pérignon 2006 is superlative, luminous and glorious. Its original generosity - ample and tactile - is enhanced by a clear structure that gives it freshness and precision.
Nose: The immediate impression is the sweetness of the pure, airy and luminous bouquet. A floral and fruity pastel tone then unfolds and quickly darkens on notes of candied fruit, ripe hay, toast, and hints of liquorice.
Palate: Restrained and succulent, round in the heart is revealed in the mouth. The envelope slips and stretches, and the wine becomes more complex and nervous, more silky than unctuous. Everything ends up melting into an exquisite bitterness tinged with the brackish taste of the sea.
We strongly advise you to let this wine breathe for 10 to 15 minutes before tasting. Yes, we know, it's very long. But this detail will make all the difference.
