Lafite Rothschild 1971 - Pauillac
Level: low neck
Label: Torn and worn but perfectly legible
Stopper: Very beautiful
Overall condition: Good
1 Grand Cru Classé from Pauillac, Château Lafite-Rothschild is often considered as the most popular of the first 5 grands crû.
Blend of approximately 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. The proportions are likely to evolve slightly according to the vintage.
Despite its venerable age and the low recognition of the vintage, a Lafite remains a Lafite.
The wine is of great finesse and remains very balanced. It will reveal, among other things, notes of tobacco and leather supported by a great freshness and a nice minerality. This wine is intended for enthusiasts eager to discover this old and now very rare vintage.
