GRAND-PUY DUCASSE 1991 - PAUILLAC
5th Grand Cru, classified in 1855. Estate of 38 ha whose reputation and quality have continued to grow since 1990. The Château is now owned by Crédit Agricole and its winery group.
Aging from 18 to 24 months depending on the vintage in oak barrels, one third of which is new.
No need to lie, the 1991 vintage is not the vintage of the century in Pauillac, far from it. But we do not choose the year of birth isn't it ?
Fortunately here, the blend is a classic but very effective Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot with long aging. This great Puy Ducasse is therefore "solid" and can afford to age for several years.
J.M Q reduced the score by 85 points.
