Besserat de Bellefon - Champagne Crémant des Moines Rosé - circa 1980
Very good state of conservation. Some traces on the label.
In its original Belle Epoque style case
Founded in 1843 in Aÿ, the Besserat de Bellefon maison is recognized for its production of "gourmet" champagne. It was born from the marriage of Edmond Besserat and Yvonne Méric de Bellefon. Indeed, not undergoing malolactic fermentation, their champagnes are considered to be wines for aging.
The house owns 25 hectares and sources grapes from local winegrowers to increase their production capacity. Besserat de Bellefon champagne nowadays belongs to the Lanson-BCC group.
We tasted several old bottles of Besserat de Bellefon which is not the most famous Champagne house, they were all awesome. We specify that this is an absolutely subjective opinion.
