About the estate: Created in 1965 under the name Pierre Duband, the estate initially exploited its vines by selling the grapes to the trade. It was from 1991 that David Duband took over the reins of the vineyard of only 1.5 hectares and began its expansion. Little by little, the domain is growing, adding magnificent terroirs to its vineyard. In 2006 he took over the vines of the famous Domaine Truchot comprising 7 hectares including the grand crus of Clos de la Roche and Charmes Chambertin among others.
About the cuvée: This 1er cru Les Gruenchers comes from a plot of old vines over 40 years old facing south-east. After manual harvesting and precise sorting, the bunches are vinified at 80% whole harvest (with the raffle to bring structure and a diversification of tannins). The wine is aged for 14 months in barrels (40% new barrels, 60% barrels between 1 and three years old). Bottling is done without filtration or fining.
