Domaine Jean Grivot has existed in Burgundy, in Vosne-Romanée, since the end of the 18th century. It has the largest terroirs at its disposal, Clos de Vougeot, Richebourg and others.
Joseph Grivot originally owned vines in the Jura, before deciding to sell them to come and settle in Burgundy.
In 1919, he even bought a plot of the famous Grand Cru Clos Vougeot.
Twelve premier crus and three grands crus are found in the range of wines produced by the Grivot estate.
Today the estate is managed by Etienne, Jean's son (himself Joseph's son), and his children.
The average age of the vines exceeds 40 years and the yield is quite low.
