Chambolle-Musigny 2019 "Vieilles Vignes" - Lignier-Michelot
Level: Perfect
Color: Perfect
Label: Perfect
Overall condition: Perfect
A family business established in Morey-Saint-Denis, the Ligner-Michelot estate operates 12 hectares of vines on some thirty appellations on the Côte de Nuits. For an average annual production of 30,000 bottles.
About the cuvée: Old vines over 60 years old planted in the north of the appellation. Only 6000 bottles are produced per year. Whole harvest vinification for about 75% of the harvest. The non-withdrawn raffles allow the wine to be structured and the style of the tannins to be diversified. An average of 13 months aging in 30% new barrels follows.
Tasting advice: At WUAT we are not really used to tasting Burgundies so young. The 2019 vintage being a great success, you will be able to forget this bottle in the cellar for more than ten years without hesitation. If you want to taste it before that, a serious decanting of at least an hour will be necessary.
