Domaine Jean Petitot, located in Corgoloin, south of Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, is a family estate with a long wine-growing history. With an area of 8.60 hectares, the estate is renowned for its traditional know-how and its commitment to the quality of the wines. Ranked among the best producers in the region, he perpetuates the ancestral know-how transmitted from generation to generation. “The vine decides, the winegrower accompanies it”
Presentation of the Côte de Nuits-Villages cuvée:
This is the emblematic cuvée of the estate. It is now divided into three parcels: Terres Burgondes, Les monts Boncourts and les Vignottes Vieilles vignes. 1989 is the very first vintage vinified by Hervé Petitot, 5th generation of winemaker, still at the head of the estate today.
About the 1989 vintage:
The 1989 vintage is considered an exceptional vintage in Burgundy. The climatic conditions were ideal, with a hot and sunny summer, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and develop concentrated aromas. The balance offered by this wine and its conservation in a magnum format allow it to age for several more years.
Food and wine:
The Côte de Nuits-Villages magnum 1989 goes perfectly with grilled meat dishes, stews and aged cheeses. Its structure and rich aromas make it an ideal companion for dishes with character.
Service Tips:
Serve the Côte de Nuits-Villages magnum 1989 at a temperature of 16°C to 18°C. It is recommended to open it at least one hour before tasting it to allow its aromas to fully express themselves. Use a tall wine glass to take full advantage of its aromatic qualities.
