Color: Magnificent
Label: Beautiful, disaggregated collar label
Vintage: According to the cellar book, it is a 1979 vintage. The estate has existed since 1977, the labels changed in 1982. It is therefore a bottle produced between 1977 and 1981.
The Charlopin estate has existed "only" since 1977. At that time it was called Philippe Charlopin-Parizot. This bottle is therefore extremely rare because it was the 3rd vintage of the estate. It is now impossible to find it on the market. At that time the estate only had 1.5 ha of vines.
This bottle comes from a collector's cellar who bought it directly from the estate in the 1980s. We can certify that this is a bottle produced between 1977 and 1981 thanks to the label. In view of the magnificent vertical present in the cellar and which we are offering to you today, we have no reason to doubt the vintage.
The Charlopin estate has always produced powerful, concentrated wines that have been aged for a long time in barrels. They are therefore perfectly suited to very long aging.
The Charmes-Chambertin are located in the circle of this map.
