75cl
100% Pinot Noir
Low yield of 40 Hl / Ha
18 Month aging in 30% new oak barrels
Want to discover Morey-St-Denis? This "old vines" cuvée from Alain Jeanniard should seduce you.
The estate pays particular attention to the age of the vines. The philosophy they follow is simple, only use the oldest vines for the creation of the wine with the domaine name. The other vines are used to produce trade wine.
As usual in Burgundy, the vine is worked in a sustainable way. Human intervention is therefore limited to the minimum in order to let nature and the terroir express themselves as well as possible.
The wine has great finesse and tannins are present but velvety. The red fruits and cherry aromas are the most expressive. This Morey-st-Denis will require a few minutes of opening to express itself properly.
