Vosne-Romanée 1989 - Domaine Forey Père Et Fils
The Forey estate is one of the rising stars in Burgundy. Today it is one of the producer most sought after by amateurs and connoisseurs.
If it became famous thanks to the excellence of the quality of its Vosne-Romanée 1er cru "Les Gaudichots" which is now almost inaccessible, this domain produces other great wines of the Côte de Nuits on 1er and Grands Crus.
Obviously all the cuvées are produced with the greatest care, in an approach that respects the environment and life in the vines.
In the cellar Régis Forey seeks above all the finesse and expression of the terroir. The breeding is done with a limited proportion of new wood barrels rarely exceeding 50%.
WUAT's opinion: This bottle is extremely rare because the 1989 vintage is the first produced by Régis Forey, current owner and initiator of the renewal of the family estate.
