Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Chaumes" 1996 - François Lamarche
The Lamarche estate has been present since 1797 on the prestigious terroirs of Vosne-Romanée and Vougeot.
On a surface of more than eleven hectares, the domain produces fourteen different wines including the Grande Rue, monopoly, and one of the rare Grands Crus of Vosne-Romanée.
All the vines are cultivated in reasoned agriculture until 2010 when they switch to organic farming.
The wines are balanced and elegant. For the "Les Chaumes" plot, with 56 ares of vines aged 40 years on average, the harvest is manual and the stalk is kept up to 20% in certain vintages.
Bottling without fining or filtration. About 3000 bottles produced.
