The 2016 vintage is a great success in Beaujolais, bigger than the 2015. Marcel Lapierre's wines are vinified by her children Camille and Mathieu, but that does not change the "natural" style of the house.
This fruity, rich and very expressive Gamay is aged for 9 months in oak barrels. We have taken special care in the conservation of these fragile bottles, but in our opinion endowed with very good aging potential.
We therefore strongly advise you to open and let this wine breathe for a very long time before tasting.
Marcel Lapierre is the figure of the rebirth of the Beaujolais vineyard. Its wines are increasingly difficult to obtain, especially for great vintages, and the trend does not seem to be reversing.
