The Grand Pontet property is located on the western plateau of Saint-Emilion, surrounded by three Premier Grands Crus Classés.
Château Grand Pontet has changed owners several times in recent decades:
In 1980, the trading company Barton&Guestier separated from it in favor of a family company, headed by Sylvie Pourquet-Bécot.
The vineyard, then in one piece and 35 years old, covers 14 ha of predominantly limestone soil.
Very recently, in 2021, Château Grand-Pontet changed flag, bought by Domaines Clarence Dillon (Haut-Brion et La Mission Haut-Brion), allowing Château Quintus to be enlarged (bringing together Tertre-Daugay in 2011 and L'Arrosée in 2013).
This Grand Pontet 2015 is elegant, all in freshness with a good length.
