Château Cheval Blanc is a sort of myth, whether in the cinema or in the collective imagination, the simple fact of knowing that you are about to taste a bottle provokes a sweet emotion.
Owned by the Arnaud Family (LVMH), this former 1er Grand Cru Classé A, which voluntarily left the classification in 2021, is particularly avant-garde, especially in the vineyard. The vineyard is made up of 52% Cabernet Franc, 43% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
But the cellar, with its ultra modern architecture, is not to be outdone. Take a tour of the Château Cheval Blanc website which is particularly comprehensive and readable.
J.s Robinson gave it a score of 19/20, finding this 1990 Cheval Blanc vintage "rich and smooth, particularly appetizing" adding that "this wine has been magnificent all its life"
For RP, 98/100, it is fast becoming his favorite vintage in this area.
And you ? What do you think ? It's time to make your opinion on this wine which promises to be grandiose!
