Domaine Jean-François Coche-Dury 2015 - Burgundy Chardonnay
About the domain:
Surely you know as much as we do about it. The estate has become one of the finest names in Burgundy thanks to its practices in the vineyard, the cellar. Every qualitative detail is taken to the extreme making wines whose quality is very difficult to match.
The 10.5 hectare estate, spread over the largest appellations of the Côte de Beaune, produces around 60,000 bottles per year. Production that fails to meet the demand of fans around the world.
The wines are fresh, lively, perfectly balanced and made for laying down. To be enjoyed once in a lifetime.
About the cuvée:
100% Chardonnay (organic but needless to say), from the Côte de Beaune, aged in 50% new barrels.
About labels and packaging:
From the 2013 vintage, the estate has changed the packaging of its bottles. The caps which were previously white for all the Chardonnay and Aligoté cuvées, with the exception of the Corton-Charlemagne, became bronze for a part in 2013 and for all of them from 2014. Probably a solution to limit counterfeits . So be very careful when buying this type of bottle.
