Meursault 1er cru 2012 "Le Poruzot-Dessus" - Domaine Rémi Jobard
The Jobard estate has been run by the same family for several generations. Charles Jobard is the father of Remi and the brother of François Jobard, whose estate is also very well known. Charles ran the estate for many years before taking over in 1991. While Remi Jobard's wines are well known, which are highly sought after but "findable", his father's old vintages are almost impossible to find.
About the 2012 vintage in Meursault: A very difficult vintage to work with for the Burgundian winegrowers who had to overcome the rain, humidity, hail, disease and frost. Fortunately, the end of summer and the harvest took place in good conditions. The harvests were scanty but of good quality.
