The Estate: Domaine Labruyère has a long history in Beaujolais, beginning with the planting of vines in 1850. Today the fifth generation of the family is in charge, and their commitment to crafting top quality wines is undeniable .
The cuvée: Le Clos du Moulin-à-Vent Monopole 2016 is a monopoly red wine from 60-year-old vines located in the Moulin-à-Vent region. It is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, giving it notes of dark fruit, licorice and damp earth, with a balanced tannic structure.
The vintage: The 2016 vintage was an exceptional year in Beaujolais. The weather conditions allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, resulting in concentrated, complex and elegant wines. Le Clos du Moulin-à-Vent Monopole 2016 is a wine that will improve over time and can easily be mistaken for a great Burgundy.
