THE HAUT-BRION 1988 MISSION - PESSAC-LEOGNAN
The vineyard of the domain of La Mission Haut-Brion covers 29 hectares.
The 1988 vintage was somewhat overshadowed by the 89 and 90 vintages. If the fear of rain unfortunately prompted some Châteaux to harvest too early, others were able to wait to produce superb wines, extremely tannic and powerful but elegant and with incredible aging and improvement potential. We rediscover them with pleasure today finally ready to drink.
In 1988 it was the Margaux, the Graves and the Libournais who produced the greatest successes. This Haut-Brion Mission is one of them. Like a Pauillac from 1986, we recommend that you open it at least 6 hours before tasting to give it a chance to express itself in the glass.
