Domaine de Chevalier 2012:
Very intense color. Generous nose of red and black fruit and lightly peppery spices. Minty mineral notes accentuate the freshness.
Suave, fruity, fresh and broad attack. Full and fleshy mid-palate with an intense fruity flavor. The structuring tannins are ripe and fairly supple in nature. They envelop the wine from the beginning to the end of the tasting without overshadowing the finesse and complexity. The acidity is everywhere, without going over. It enhances the flavors, excites the taste buds and avoids any heaviness. Very nice concentrated and racy finish.
As you have certainly understood, at WUAT we like wines with good aging potential and whose quality is regular. Domaine de Chevalier is, like Talbot or Beychevelle, very regular.
For us, this is one of the best value for money - pleasure ratio of Pessac-Leognan.
So if you don't know it go for it!
