Rauzan-Gassies 2016 Magnum - Margaux
Overall condition: Perfect
Rauzan-Gassies 2015 - Margaux
Despite having a second place in the 1855 ranking, Château Rauzan-Gassies is far from being the most tasted of Margaux. It must be said that with "only" 120,000 bottles per year, it is far from being one of the largest chateaux in terms of production volume. However, it shows great consistency and a style very representative of the Margaux appellation and, in our opinion, deserves a little more recognition.
The domain ages for one year in 50% new wood. Young, the wine is quite powerful but balanced and will require a few years of aging to express itself perfectly.
Vintage 2016: An exceptional vintage for the Cabernet Sauvignon, very predominantly present in the blend in the same way as 2015. The wine is generous and rich, with soft tannins and impressive flavours.
