About the estate: No need to present this 1er grand cru Classé from 1855, the position of which no one will question. With its own style combining power, extreme finesse and incredible aging potential for the vast majority of its vintages, Château Margaux has a single vineyard. Another interesting fact, the barrels in which the great wine evolves are assembled and heated on site (see images). Finally, it is the only Château which has given its name to an appellation.
Since 1908 the Château has produced a second wine, the famous "Pavillon Rouge" (possibly the best of the second wines). And since 1997 a third wine "Margaux du Château Margaux" on which we will not comment.
Rated 94/100 by RP and J. Suckling, this 2008 vintage is very elegant, and can rest in the cellar for another ten years to reach its peak, but of course, you can enjoy tasting it now.
