The "Château Marquis d'Alesme Becker", today called "Marquis d'Alesme" is one of the oldest Château of the Margaux appellation. Created in 1585 by the marquis of the same name, this "small" property has 15 h.a of vines among the most beautiful in the appellation.
Clay-limestone soils composed of clayey and siliceous gravel, gently sloping and facing due south, allow the grapes to ripen perfectly.
The vines are grown in reasoned cultivation close to biodynamics, the flora and fauna of the vineyard are listed.
Do not hesitate to take a tour of the Château Marquis d'Alesme website which transcribes the brand's philosophy well.
Wuat's opinion: An unusual wine, from a small production and renowned for its great aging potential. It is powerful and offers very particular animal notes. If you wish to offer a bottle of the 1975 vintage, do not hesitate, the value for money is exceptional.
