Rauzan-Segla 2014 - Margaux
The domain of Rauzan was born in 1661. In 1763, the domain is divided: on the one hand the domain Rauzan-Gassies and on the other the domain of Rauzan which will become Rauzan-Ségla in 1816 with the arrival of the Baroness of Ségla . The estate had different owners before the Wertheimer brothers (owners of Chanel and Château Canon) bought it in 1994.
The two brothers have invested a lot in the estate, in order to restructure and modernize it, both in the cellar and in the vineyard, thus making it possible to consolidate this cru to the legitimate rank of 2nd cru classé in Margaux.
The estate extends over 71 hectares and benefits from an exceptional terroir, composed of fine and deep gravel resting on clay-limestone layers.
This 2014 vintage has a lot of charm, aromas of blackberries and spice. A supple, dense palate with good length.
"Tasting a Rauzan-Ségla wine is the guarantee of a trip like no other".
